POM (Delrin) is a material with better mechanical values compared to polyamide and cast polyamide. Although its slipperiness is not as high as Teflon, it gives very good results in oil-free environments. Although it is much stronger than Teflon, it cannot resist chemicals as much. Since its density is approximately 1.42 g/cm3, it is heavier and more costly than polyethylene and polyamide. It is used in bearing slides in the production of gears, in the production of parts that need to be disassembled and reassembled very frequently (such as fuel tank covers of vehicles).
